Harissa – hot Chilisauce from Morocco

Harissa from Morocco
Harissa from Morocco

Here is another recipe for Moroccan Harissa I got from my moroccan family. This is not as strong as the one I put in earlier. It is served with almost every meal. Yes there are those who eat it for breakfast too, but it can not handle my stomach anyway. I myself have almost become addicted to it. And it has to almost everything. Well maybe not pancake but otherwise…

4 red chillies without seeds and stems
1 teaspoon cumin
0.5 tsp hot paprika
2 cloves of garlic
1 tomato
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 cups of olive oil
0.5 tsp coriander
0.5 tsp cardamom
Mix everything until smooth. Keep cool.

This looks amazing! We love spicy foods and I think this would be a big hit at my house. Pinning for later! Thanks for sharing your family recipe.
