Spagetti Bolognese – Best spagetti ever?

Spagetti Bolognese
Spagetti Bolognese

The first time I cooked, I was 6 years old. Then I cooked my absolute favorite dish, spaghetti Bolognese. This happened more than 40 years ago. And yet today it is one of my absolute favorite dishes. I never get tired of it.

1 onion chopped
Β½ grated carrot
20g grated celeriac
rapeseed oil
1 Β½ tablespoons tomato paste
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
600 g of beef mince
200ml beef stock
1 carton of chopped tomatoes
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
1 teaspoon sugar
100ml chopped black olives
2 bay leaves
salt and black pepper
Fry the vegetables soften the butter, fry the tomato paste and garlic at the end.
Pick up and place in a large saucepan. Fry the mince browned in oil in batches and place over the saucepan. Add salt, pepper, broth and crushed tomatoes. Dilute with water so that the sauce
get the desired texture. Season with oregano, thyme and sugar. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer over low heat for 2-3 hours. The longer the boil, the tastier it becomes.

I don’t really know hot to describe it can be used as a condiment or in cooking! Lea & Perrins is the famous brand it’s delicious if you put it on cheese on toast before grilling!!

Sounds delicious. I brown my mince then put in up to a cup of milk and let it simmer, it tenderizes the meat beautifully! πŸ™‚

Thats a good idea with milk. Never tryed that, just with cream. Thats make it heavenly. Have you tried with cream or creme fraiche? πŸ™‚

      1. purplesus says:
