Took and baked a cake today. It ‘s Friday and the weekend soon . Have some teas to try out and test. So when it suited perfectly to do both. Preparation for the competition that starts tomorrow takes shape. Hope you ‘re ready? So now you get the recipe for the cake now.

Buns with tonka bean and almond
100g melted butter
250 ml of lukewarm milk
550 ml flour
0.5 tsp salt
100ml sugar
1 packet of yeast
2 teaspoons baking powder
filling:
25 g almond paste
2 teaspoons of sugar Tonka
20g butter
0.5 tsp cinnamon
1 whipped egg
Mix all ingredients for the dough into a smooth dough . Let rise about 40 minutes. Take out on floured surface and knead the dough . Divide the dough into pieces and roll them out into 2 equal circles . Add a the bottom of a pie plate . Add the filling. Add and then the other roundel on the filling. If you want you can do something nice pattern now. Let rise again about 40-50 minutes . Start the oven 200 c and place a bowl of water in the oven. Brush cake with egg. Set the cake when the oven is hot and let it bake for about 20 minutes and got a nice color.

    How many grams in ‘a packet’ of yeast, please?

      Its 12 g tried yeast, the same as 50 g fresh yeast. πŸ™‚
