This is a simple, unusual, easily made dessert with lots of wonderful flavors. And actually really useful even though it is a dessert.

It appeals to everyone and I have not met anyone who not asked for more.

Dates parfait with Orange Flower Water
200g pitted dates or grated dates mass
300ml whipped double cream
150ml Turkish yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2 – 3 tablespoons orange Blom water
Whip the cream until stiff. Mix the dates in a blender. Add in the yogurt with the dates and run until smooth. Mix gently down dates cream with cream and honey. Let stand cold in a couple of hours before serving.

  1. This recipe reminds me of that Turkish drink called “lassi” made from yogurt (with fruits such as mango added sometimes). 😀

Haven’t yet come across Turkish yoghourt: but surely it would be very like Greek yoghourt?

I found it quite different between the greek and the turkish once. The turish is not so sour and much milder in the tast then the greek one. 🙂

Then I’ll have to search it out. Should be somewhere in this multicultural city.
