Bissara – Moroccon flava bean soup


Wonderful soup from Morocco, actually one of my favorites. It heats so well in the winter and you will be satisfied for long. Does not cost much to make but tastes amazing! And I promise you that you will love this soup!Ā 

This soup shows that good food dont have to cost much.

Bissara-Moroccon flava bean soup
500g dry fava beans soaked in water for the whole night.
2 tbsp oil.
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil.
2-3 chopped cloves of garlic.
1 tsp salt.
0.5 tsp black pepper.
1 tsp cumin.
1tsp peppers
2 liter water
Drain dried fava beans from water, peel them and clean them well. Put dried fava beans, garlic, oil, spices and water, then cover the cooker tightly and cook over medium heat for an hour (until the fava beans are well cooked). Mix them with a mixer or a blender until They’ve become smooth soup. Return theminto the cooker and let it over low heat until the soup Becomes thick.
Serve the soup in bowls with some olive oil on the top.
