Maniguette pepper – Grains of Paradise

Maniguette pepper
Maniguette pepper

Maniguette pepper also called Grains of Paradise. Which is really an appropriate name for it. For it tastes fantastic.

A spice that comes from Cameroon and used in cooking and also in traditional naturopathy.

Something between pepper and cardamom. The appearance reminiscent of cardamom but when you smell it, you notice the difference, also with the taste. It’s like a warm blanket to curl up on a cold day. Hot and spicy without being strong.

Wish there was smell the internet so you could smell it. It is so wonderful and there is so much you can do with it. Perfect with vegetables, vegetarian dishes, apples, lamb, etc. A very useful spice that has no restrictions.

Peeking in at http://www.olioli.se There you can find it.
