Winter Raspberry Cake
300ml lukewarm milk
150g melted butter
100ml sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 package dry yeast
1 pinch of salt
0.5 tsp ground cardamom
600 ml flour
filling:
1 can of quark
100 ml raspberry jam
30g chopped white chocolate
Topping:
whipped egg
pearl sugar
flaked almonds
Mix everything should be cake to a smooth pliable dough. Let rise covered for about 40 minutes or double size. Take out the dough and work it a little while. Divide into 4 even pieces. Roll out each piece to a thickness much like a pizza. Add a spread piece into a greased round shape.
Mix filling and spread half of it on the cake. Then cover with a spread piece of dough. Make a beautiful pattern on the top. Make the same with the other 2 pices of dough and filling. Cover and let rise about 30 minutes. Brush with whipped egg and then sprinkle with pearl sugar and almonds. Bake at 200c for about 20-25 minutes or until cake its done.
