Doro wat – Ethiopian chicken in pepper sauce

Since I love to travel, and be happy in all sorts of ways to take me to a country that I never or hardly ever visited. So I travel happily through food. A little different but still rewarding way to get you. And a lot kinder to your wallet.
Ethiopiska kitchen is a fantastic kitchen to visit. Their injera , a kind of sourdough pancake that is eaten instead of rice or potatoes in every meal. Injera, I will take up later in the blog.
Doro Wat – Ethiopian chicken in pepper sauce
2 rough cut chicken fillets
1 teaspoon salt
Juice of 1 lemon
2 sliced yellow onions
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tsp seasoning berbere
200 ml water
2 hard-boiled eggs
Start by seasoning kyckligen and beat the lemon juice over . Let stand at least 30 minutes.
Heat the oil and fry the onion until soft . Put down kyckligen . And let it brown. Turn on the water and tomato paste and let it get to simmer for about 20 minutes on low heat. A little while before serving to add the eggs and let them warm up . Serve with rice or injera .
