Some food memories stay with a longer than others. This is one such. And I promise, you invite guests on it, so they can never guess what you spiced up with. And they will ask for the recipe before they go home.
Chicken and coffee match very well together. This time I added beans and that became very, very good combination.
Remember when I heard about Facebook for the first time. It was my kids who thought I should get it. Said and done, I did so many years ago. There I shared with you everything possible, including this recipe. I also have a very good friend, Ute, with my FB. How she came with I do not know, because I’ve never met her. But she is there and is always happy and caring. Although they never met. One day I hope she’ll find her way here. This recipe I dedicate to her and her family. Apparently, loves her family the very much, which makes me so happy to hear that.
Coffee Chicken from Kenya
4 pieces of skinless chicken parts
2 sliced onions
4 sliced garlic
1 sliced carrot
200 ml water
salt, pepper
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
2 bouillon cubes
1 sliced chili
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tsp Ginger
½ tsp cumin
1 ½ cup strong dark roast coffee
little green beans
1 can of mixed beans
Instruction: Brown the chicken and onion. Add Remaining ingredients and cook for about 45 minutes.
I always use this pan when I do this dish. If fantastic for it and if you need to cook for more or less people, its never a problem. You can find it here Lyckas med mat
I’ve never heard of coffee and chicken before, but I’ll certainly give it a go!

Just above ‘200 ml water’ there’s “1 sliced” but no indication of what it is that’s sliced. I’d love to try this one… is it zucchini?
