This is the first time I bake with camomile. Have heard a lot how nice it does in cakes. So why don’t give it a go.
Try it, you will not regret it!
Camomile and pineapple cake
125 g melted butter
50 ml milk
6 tea bags of camomile tea
130 g sugar
2 eggs
170 g flour
1,5 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinche of salt
Iceing
50 g soft butter
2 teabags of camomile tea but without the bags
100 g white chocolate
30 g icing sugar
3-4 pineapple marmalade
180c 25-30 minutes
Heat up the milk and put the teabags in the milk. Let stand for ca 30 minuets. And then press out all the liquid from the bags.
Wisp eggs and sugar light. Stir the rest of the ingredients. And put the butter in a grease bread baking tin. And bake it for about 30 minutes.
Icing
60 g melted hot butter
2 teabags of camomile
100 g white melted chocolate
50 g icing sugar
3-4 tablespoon pineapple marmalade
Let the camomile lay in the butter for 10 minutes. And pure it through a strainer. Add then the rest ingredients. And stir it to a smooth icing. When the cake has cooled, add the icing.
