Siciliana lemon marmalade


What is more tasty and fun then making marmalade from fruits grown in the garden or found some really nice fruits at the local shop?

This amazing different recipe comes from a chief friend who brought it back home from Siciliana.

Sicilian Lemon marmalade

Take 1 kg fresh Lemons and pick them several time each one of lemon with a fork trough the peel. Put the lemons in a pan and cover with water. Let stand for 4 days in a cool place and change water every day. On the big day, take away the water. Add 800 g sugar. Let it boil for 40 minutes. Let it cool down a bit and remove any stones you can see. Use a stick blender and blend it to smooth consistent. Put it in clean jars and close them. If it’s possible put them up side down. Let it cool.
