What food makes you happy?

With the virus, darkness, bad weather and maybe not having the best of health, in this moment of time, never ever has it been more important to keep up our spirits and be happy. What’s make you happy?

My beloved dog, Max He is actually a clown. Makes me laugh every day. ❤️

It’s not the time to think of eating right or weight at this moment of time. We should try to make ever day special. Embrace ourselves. For me food and cooking is the best treat now when I can’t see my kids. What kind of food makes you happy?

I absolutely love all kind of seafood.

Seafood with a nice glas of white wine, makes all troubles go away.

I love all food, very difficult to choose 😀 but if I have to, I’ll go with pasta and pizza ☺️😉😋

Max is as gorgeous as our Lilly, sanity in a bundle of Pup. Never more so has a stroke and cuddle been so important, as we are locked down for the fourth time due to the pandemic. As is food, I have ressurected my baking skills this last year, and there is nothing as good as a homemade artizan loaf. Warm from the oven dripping with melting butter and steeped in a gorgeously tantalising home made, sweet potato spiced winter soup. Followed by Beef, a pink wellington wrapped bacon and crisp pastry, served with tiny chopped dry roasted potatoes and Chanteray miniture carrots, washed down with a large glass of Barossa ink the perfect Shiraz from the new world one of Australia’s finest exports. After a rest I would serve ramakins of baked vannilla rice pudding sprinkled with nutmeg left to set over night and a blowtorch used to crisp the caramel top that needs to be cracked with your spoon. This was our alternative Christmas dinner, decadent, sumptuous and wonderful. Helped us celebrate the occassion with style, despite not seeing our family we made it special. I hope you try it some day.

Max says Thanks for your kind words and greeting to Lilly. Wow you can really write ❣️👍I became sooo hungry when I read your Christmas dinner menu. So I had to go and make dinner after reading it. Nothing is like homemade and new baked bread. ❤️ I must absolutely do it soon. Never done a biff Wellingtons before. It will be fun. Cross your fingers it will be good. My partner loves that dish. Time to spoiling him, I think. Rice pudding sounds amazing! Love that desser but never used nutmegs in it. Cinnamon is a favourite but will absolutely try the nutmeg. We are not in lock down but because of health reasons, we are in our own. We have a ecological wine yard just around the corner (I have blogged about that wine not long time ago) when life is a bit grey, a glas of Nilva wine brighten up any day. 🍷☀️🌴
