We have a saying that a loved child has many names. ❤️ Kunafa, Kanafa, Khnfa… Same delicious scrumptious cake.

The original country isn’t sure. Jordania, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon is some of claiming to be the country of original.
This is how I learned to make it in Egypt and the best I ever eaten. my recipe is made a lot less sweet as the original recipe. If you have a big sweet tooth, please just double the amount of syrup.
The dough you can find in Middle East or Asians food chops.

Kunafa, Kanafa, Knfa cake – best cheesecake ever ❤️👍
- 1 package of Kuñada
- Syrup
- 2 1/4 cups of sugar
- 1 1/4 cups of water
- Filling:
- 150 g melted butter
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 1/2 cups of cream
- 1 1/4 cups of milk
- 3 tablespoons corn flour
- 1 package of cream cheese

Boil the syrup until it becomes tick.
Melt butter and spread it into the dough.

Boil the filling until it becomes thick.

Add the half of the buttered dough in a buttered tin. Let it be in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until it’s got a nice light colour. 200c
Add the filling. And sprinkle half of the pistachios. Put the rest of the dough over. Bake it until it’s nicely browned. Takes about 29 minutes. Let it rest for about 10 minutes before you poor the syrup gently over the hole cake.
Enjoy! 😋👍❤️
That’s a lot of cheesecake for one tin. How many people does it serve?
