Easy lovely Indonesian chicken and pineapple 🍍


This dish is loved by everyone who have eaten it. ❀️ And it’s very easy, quick to make. Perfect for guests who just shows up on your doorstep.

Wonderful flavours with the coconut, pineapple and the peanuts with the chicken.

Indonesian chicken and pineapple

Indonesian chicken and pineapple

  • 4 chicken fillets cut into pieces
  • 1 small tin of coconut cream
  • 2 mild chilis cut into rings
  • 1/4 of a pineapple cut into cubes
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Coconut oil to fry in

Fry the onions soft. Add the garlic, chilli, salt and pepper. Let it get a nice colour. Add the coconut cream and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. When it’s almost done add the pineapple and let it get warm.

Serve with fried rice with unsalted roasted peanuts.

    This dish is interestingly a mainstay in Filipino cuisine! Though some add extra potatoes and bell peppers aside from the pineapple. 😊

  2. These ingredients work so well together! I have just came back from the shop … and guess what, in my bag are chicken breasts and pineapple 😁. But our dinner will be stir fry chicken with lots of colourful vegetables and pineapple pieces.
    But I think I will have to try your recipe at some time – it looks really delicious!
